The purpose-built and modern Grange Manor is in Mt Eden and serves central Auckland and the surrounding areas.
Conveniently located along Dominion Road, it’s easily accessible from any part of Auckland and has plenty of on-site parking. Architecturally designed and built in 1990, it has a modern chapel and reception lounge and is also the head office of Davis Funerals.
Chapel
A light-filled space, our Grange Manor chapel is peaceful and comfortable. It features a spectacular glass wall that looks out onto a beautiful green outdoor area, a fitting backdrop for your loved one’s casket to rest in-front of. It has ample seating for 100 family and friends, and state-of-the-art audio and visual equipment. This includes a microphone for who you choose to lead the service and a projector and screen to allow you to play presentations or image slideshows, along with audio.
Grounds and gardens
Grange Manor’s grounds are immaculately manicured, looking green and lush. Our chapel looks out onto the peaceful and pristine outside space – a green wall featuring native ferns and planting, with no hint of the busy suburban surrounds. A large on-site car park not only provides ample free parking, but can also host a marquee for large gatherings.
Reception lounge
Family and friends are welcome to gather in our spacious air-conditioned and centrally-heated reception lounge. It’s large, airy and modern, with access to toilets. The commercial kitchen makes catering simple. We offer a variety of menus, ranging from a simple morning or afternoon tea through to a more substantial selection for a lunch-type reception. There’s also a projector and drop-down screen which allows you to play DVD presentations during this gathering.
Family rooms
Simple and comfortable rooms are available for you to spend time saying goodbye to a loved one in the days before the funeral. You’re welcome to use these rooms at any time during business hours, or at other times by appointment. We can also arrange for your loved one to return home before the funeral.
