Lovingly refurbished in 2007, this beautiful historic villa is now a modern funeral home which still retains its original features.
Our Pakuranga funeral home serves Howick, Pakuranga and surrounding East and South Auckland communities. Built in 1914, Davis Funerals has renovated it to include modern facilities alongside its traditional features, including original ceilings and gas light fittings. It’s a beautiful and restful place.
Chapel
Our chapel is in a beautifully modernised room, that still retains the charm of this historic villa. An original ceiling, combined with large timber windows, creates a light-filled yet intimate space.
Air-conditioned for comfort, it also contains a large flatscreen TV to allow you to play presentations during your loved one’s funeral service.
Grounds and gardens
The stunning white verandah, complete with original fretwork, looks out onto the private landscaped grounds. Fully fenced and secure, including high hedges and well-kept pathways, they complement this historic villa.
The picturesque grounds are entered through a white picket fence and under an archway of branches – a truly peaceful setting.
Reception lounge
Our reception lounge offers direct access onto the historic elevated covered deck, allowing you and your family and friends to gather both inside and outside in all weather and take in the views across East Auckland.
An intimate space full of original features, it’s been modernised with a full commercial kitchen. This means we can offer a variety of menus, ranging from a simple morning tea through to a lunch-type reception.
There’s also a flat-screen monitor which allows you to play DVD presentations during this gathering.
Family rooms
Simple and comfortable rooms are available for you to spend time saying goodbye to a loved one in the days before the funeral.
You’re welcome to use these rooms at any time during business hours, or at other times by appointment. We can also arrange for your loved one to return home before the funeral.
